EVIL WIZARD GAME

I made this game for the GMTK Game Jam 2025. After Last year I felt like I could make something bigger. That was a bad idea! the scope was way too big for me to handle so I had to rush everything and cut pretty much 95% of what I had in mind. the game is still technically playable though; let me know what you think of the concept, and if you have some fun.

Here's some info on the game if you're confused: (I planned on making a tutorial, but alas time constraints)

The Wheel on top of the screen is the selection wheel. it selects which spell type you will be using. each spell type has a left click attack (Periodic projectiles) and a right click attack (Some sort of attack where you must hold the right mouse button). everytime you attack, the arrow loops around the wheel, selecting a new spell!

Fire: Left click for a fireball that deals damage and sets enemies on fire. Right click for a constant breath of fire. 

Water: Left click for a low damage water blob with high knockback. makes enemies wet, which extinguishes fire. Right click (Hold) to summon an acid rain cloud that pours acid on your enemies.

Wind: Left click for a tornado which sucks in light enemies and deals a small amount of damage. Combine tornadoes to make bigger ones! Bigger tornadoes suck in enemies from farther. Right click (Hold) to summon a storm which fuels fire. this makes enemies on fire take more damage and stay on fire longer! the storm also slows down enemies in the direction youre aiming at and deals very light damage.

When an enemy gets in range of you, they will stand still for a second and then perform an attack (they make smoke particles when they do this).

there are 4 enemies:

Gnome: very light, low hp, but fast

Archer: very light, medium hp, longer range

Knight: quite heavy, high hp, slow

Golem: Impossible to move, very high hp, very slow

The game is honestly quite terrible in this state, but I wanted to upload at least something, so I quickly put this together when I realized I wasn't going to finish it before the deadline the way I wanted it. Have Fun!
